TP Vision introduces two new high-end OLED TVs with integrated soundbar from Bowers & Wilkins. The top model is the OLED+986, which only appears in the 65″ format. The OLED+936 comes in 48, 55 and 65″ versions.

According to TP Vision, the new models are equipped with the latest OLED panels, which achieve a twenty percent higher peak brightness. LG introduced those panels at the beginning of this year and uses them itself in its G1 series and above. The Philips TVs also have a new P5 image processor, which according to the manufacturer provides better sharpness and accurate colors.

The TVs run on Android TV and support all common HDR formats. In addition to HLG, HDR10, HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, support for HDR10+ Adaptive has been added. That standard uses dynamic metadata and real-time information about the ambient light to adjust brightness levels.

TP Vision provides the new OLED TVs with four-sided Ambilight lighting and HDMI 2.1 connections with support for VRR, FreeSync Premium and G-Sync compatibility. Like the predecessors, both models have integrated Bowers & Wilkins sound systems, which have been improved for the new models.

The Philips OLED+986 top model again uses the so-called Tweeter-on-Top technology, but now also has the Continuum cones, which Bowers & Wilkins also uses in its 800 Diamond Series. According to the manufacturer, the new system can create a more spacious sound. The 986 will only be available as a 65-inch version and will be available from October for a suggested retail price of EUR 4449.

The Philips OLED+936 will be released in September in sizes 48″, 55″ and 65″, for suggested retail prices of 1999, 2499 and 3499 euros respectively. This model has a smaller speaker module from Bowers & Wilkins, but also various upgrades compared to the predecessor According to the manufacturer, new components have been used that improve the sound quality of the 3.2.1 speaker system.
