Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is getting a New Game+ mode, but only for owners of the Deluxe or Ultimate edition and not for those of the cheaper standard version. Typically, developers make New Game+ available for free to all players.

The base game contains according to the official website of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth no New Game+ mode. This mode would only be present in the Deluxe and Ultimate editions that can be purchased at an additional cost. The standard edition has a digital suggested retail price of 70 euros, while the Deluxe and Ultimate editions cost 85 and 110 euros. In addition to a New Game+ mode, players receive extra bonuses when purchasing the more expensive versions, including an extra dungeon and outfits.

The New Game+ mode can be started in various games after completing all main missions. It gives players the opportunity to re-experience a game while retaining certain progression elements such as unlocked skills. In Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth this is only possible for players with a more expensive version of the game. In 2020’s Yakuza: Like a Dragon, this was already the case for players in Japan. The developer is now extending this line to all players worldwide.

Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is the eighth installment in the Yakuza series. The action game is developed by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and published by SEGA. The game will be released on January 26 for the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One and PC.
