Developer 343 Industries confirms that the seasonal model for Halo Infinite will end after the current season. The first-person shooter will switch to an Operations model from January 30, with twenty rewards to be unlocked every four to six weeks.

Senior community manager John Junyszek says in a livestream on YouTube that 343 Industries will continue to support Halo Infinite into 2024. However, swapping seasons for Operations would allow the team to focus on new projects. The studio previously deleted cutscenes from season updates.

Operation Spirit of Fire will be the first free update, adding personalization options and a new map. The updates are therefore more frequent and less content is added per update. The first Operation update follows season 5, which started in October. The Operations model would be similar to the Master Chief Collection model, 343 Industries said.
