Netflix Expands Parental Control Options

Netflix gives account holders more parental control options. It is now possible to set age filters within profiles, or to block series or films. The filters are based on local classifications and vary by country.

With the new options it is possible to provide all profiles with a separate PIN code. The option for creating new profiles can also be locked. Furthermore, Netflix makes it possible to filter titles based on age ratings. The account holder can set for each profile that certain titles, or all titles within a certain classification, are not visible.

Netflix also adds the option to view the viewing history for all accounts, including the children’s profiles. In addition, it is possible to turn off the automatic play of the next episode in Kids profiles. The new parental control settings can be operated via the settings menu that can be accessed in the browser.
