Mozilla puts PDF editor in Firefox live

Mozilla has put the PDF editor in Firefox live. Browser users can therefore edit PDFs and then save the edited file. Until now, this required an add-on or other service.

The feature is live in Firefox 111, according to the update’s welcome page. The function can be found after opening a PDF in the browser in the top left corner. In addition to the buttons for saving the PDF, there are now buttons for entering text or drawing freely.

It had been known for several months that the feature was coming. Editing PDFs in the browser should save paper, according to the company. The function is not available in other browsers, but can be used there as an add-on. This has been possible in Firefox for some time now.
