Manufacturer MMD markets the Philips Evnia 34M2C8600, a 34″ ultrawide with a QD OLED panel from Samsung Display, for a suggested retail price of 1299 euros. The Philips Evnia 42M2N8900 is also now available; this 4k monitor has a woled panel from LG Display.

Last year it was announced at an event that the Philips Evnia 34M2C8600 would cost 1849 euros at release, but MMD now reports that the suggested retail price will be 1299 euros. The monitor is now available. The manufacturer previously also presented the 42M2N8900. This would have a suggested retail price of 1959 euros, but that has been reduced to a suggested retail price of 1699 euros.

The 34M2C8600 features a 34″ curved QD OLED panel with a resolution of 3440×1440 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 175Hz. This display also has HDMI 2.0 ports and is VESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black certified, meaning peak brightness 400cd/m², on the other hand, the 42M2N8900 has a flat (and matte) woled panel with 4k resolution and a 138Hz refresh rate, HDMI 2.1 ports with 48Gbit/s bandwidth for console gamers and MMD also includes a remote control.

Both gaming monitors have Ambiglow, a feature similar to Ambilight on Philips televisions, where LEDs on the back of the screen follow the colors of the image. The monitors also have a KVM switch and a multifunctional USB-C connection with USB-PD up to 90W for a laptop and a height-adjustable stand.

With the Philips Evnia brand, MMD aims to market gaming products for ‘a more diverse audience’, the manufacturer said earlier. In practice, this seems to be reflected mainly in the design; the most expensive models in the 7000 and 8000 series come in a white-and-silver gray color, while the cheaper 5000 and 3000 models get a black or dark gray finish.
