Microsoft expects to make its game streaming service, Project xCloud, more widely available next year. The service will then come to Windows 10, among other things. The service will support multiple controllers, including those from Sony.

Microsoft announced at its X019 event that xCloud Preview is coming to Western Europe, India, Japan and Canada next year. The preview kicked off in September in the US, UK and South Korea. The preview is so far limited to Android, but Microsoft promises to bring the service to more platforms.

That will at least be Windows 10 next year and Microsoft reports to The Verge that it is working with Apple to be able to release xCloud on iOS. The company also announced that it will offer support for several Bluetooth controllers, including Sony’s DualShock 4.

Project xCloud allows gamers to stream Xbox games they own over the internet to other devices. It now works with more than fifty games. Microsoft has placed Xbox hardware in its data centers for this. Microsoft has competition from PlayStation Now and Google Stadia, among others. The latter service will start on November 19, but at Stadia players must purchase the individual games.
