Microsoft is also going to release its Personal Shopping Assistant extension for its Edge browser. The extension, which had already appeared for Chrome and Opera, should offer help with comparing and purchasing products in online stores.

Personal Shopping Assistant is already available in the Store, but is not yet available for download. It saves visited products in a list so that they can be found later. Furthermore, favorite products can be saved and you will receive a notification when the price is changed. All this information is stored online so that it can be found on other devices.

The extension has been available for Chrome and Opera since June 23, but Edge only has support for extensions since the Anniversary Update. AdBlock and AdBlock Plus were among the first extensions available for Edge. Creating extensions should be relatively easy for developers, as Microsoft has created a toolkit that can be used to modify a Chrome extension to work on Edge.

The extension was developed by Microsoft Garage, a part of Microsoft that gives employees the opportunity to devise and implement their own projects. For example, the software Mouse Without Borders was created. This software allows the user to control two computers with just one mouse and keyboard.
