Some new updates to Windows 11 caused problems with the start menu for some users. Clicking the start button or using the Windows key had no effect for these users, so the start menu could not be opened.

Microsoft confirms the problem with the start menu not opening. According to the tech giant, this concerns the update with the characteristic KB5014668 and updates that appeared afterwards. Microsoft has since resolved the issue by rolling back the updates. Users should be able to use the start button again at this point.

Last week it was announced that individual users can now purchase a separate Windows 11 Home or Pro license. Microsoft also introduced a Taskbar Overflow feature that can display more icons on the taskbar.
