Meta has introduced Accounts Center, a feature that makes it easier for users to switch between Facebook and Instagram accounts. Users can also switch between the two apps from this center. The feature works for Android, for iOS and in the browser.

Account Center is a feature within Facebook and Instagram to which users can link different accounts from these platforms. For example, if someone has personal and business Facebook accounts, it is easier to switch between these two accounts in Accounts Center. In the Center, users can also see when accounts have unread notifications.

The Center operates cross-platform; so users will not only see Facebook accounts in the Facebook app, but also Instagram accounts and vice versa. Users see notifications from the other app in Accounts Center. Company clarified to The Verge that this is still a limited test that will be expanded to more users in the coming months.

Meta also introduces a new flow for creating accounts for the two platforms. With this new flow, users can create a Facebook or Instagram account and use that account to create a new account faster in the other platform. If users have an account for both platforms, they can log in to their Instagram account with their Facebook credentials and vice versa. To do this, they must have linked the accounts in Accounts Center.
