Grimace’s Birthday is a fairly simple platformer where players as Grimace have to collect milkshakes on foot and on a skateboard. Players can jump, do ollies, grind on rails and do some skateboard tricks. Points can be earned by performing tricks and collecting milkshakes. In the game, Grimace wants to collect enough purple milkshakes for his birthday party. Various characters from McDonald’s lore are featured.

The game was developed by Krool Toys and was actually intended for an emulated environment can be played via a browser on smartphones and PCs. Krool Toys does make more retro games and has made Grimace’s Birthday available as a ‘real’ Game Boy Color game via a ROM, which via the Internet Archive is available for download.
