LotR game Tales of the Shire will be released in 2024 for console and PC

Wētā Workshop and Private Division have announced The Lord of the Rings game Tales of the Shire. The companies don’t want to reveal more about the game until next year. A short teaser was published with the announcement.

Publisher Private Division talks about a ‘cozy’ Lord of the Rings game set in Middle-earth. The Shire is the part where hobbits live; they probably play a major role in the game. Wētā Workshop is a special effects company that worked on The Lord of the Rings films and the TV series, among others. The company has never released a game before. As a publisher, Private Division is known for, among other things, The Outer Worlds and Kerbal Space Program 2.
