Logitech Releases Wireless MX Master 3S Mouse and MX Mechanical Keyboards
Logitech introduces a new version of its MX Master mouse. According to the manufacturer, the MX Master 3S has quieter mouse buttons and a new sensor. Logitech also comes with two mechanical MX Mechanical keyboards with low profile switches.
Logitech provides the MX Master 3S including a new 8000dpi optical sensor, where the current MX Master 3 still had a 4000dpi sensor. The sensor also works on glass surfaces, according to Logitech. The manufacturer further claims that the mouse buttons of the 3S are ‘up to 90 percent’ quieter than those of its predecessor. The MX Master 3S also retains the design of the MX Master 3 from 2019. The MagSpeed scroll wheel also remains the same.
The mouse works wirelessly again via bluetooth or Logitech’s supplied Bolt receiver. According to Logitech, the MX Master 3S lasts up to seventy days on a full battery, just like its predecessor, depending on the use. Charging is via USB-C and the mouse should last three hours after a minute on the charger.
The MX Master 3S is currently available through Logitech and has a suggested retail price of 130 euros. The mouse is available in black and white. The mouse is compatible with Windows, macOS, iPadOS, ChromeOS and Linux.
Logitech MX Mechanical keyboards with low profile switches
Logitech also comes with new wireless mechanical keyboards. The MX Mechanical series is focused on productivity and will be available alongside current MX Keys keyboards with scissor switches. Logitech introduces, among other things, a full-size MX Mechanical and an MX Mechanical Mini with 65% layout. The manufacturer uses Kailh’s Choc V2 low profile switches, which are available in tactile, clicky and linear variants.
The keyboards come with a combination of black and gray keycaps and get white LEDs for illumination. Both variants are wireless via Bluetooth or Logitech Bolt and, according to the manufacturer, last up to fifteen days on a full battery when the LEDs are switched on. The battery life would be ten months with the lighting switched off. Charging is again via USB-C. The keyboards can also be set up via the Logi Options+ software, which can be used to customize buttons and set lighting effects, among other things.
The Logitech MX Mechaincal series will be available May 24. The MX Mechanical gets a suggested retail price of 180 euros, while the Mini variant costs 160 euros. The keyboards are compatible with Windows, macOS, iPadOS, ChromeOS, Linux, Android and iOS.
