Logitech Announces G Cloud Handheld for Cloud Gaming

Logitech, in partnership with Tencent Games, announces the G Cloud, a handheld focused on cloud gaming. The console will be released exclusively in North America in October for a suggested retail price of $350. It is not clear whether the handheld will also come to Europe later.

The Logitech G Cloud is equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G, a mid-range smartphone processor from 2019. The handheld is therefore not equipped with an advanced gaming chipset and instead focuses on cloud gaming via WiFi. Users can play through Xbox and Nvidia services with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and GeForce NOW respectively. The handheld is also compatible with the Google Play Store and games can be streamed to the console via the Xbox app and Steam Link. Logitech does not disclose how much internal storage the handheld has.

The G Cloud also has a 7″ LCD with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 60Hz. The screen has a brightness of 450cd/m² and supports multi-touch. There is also a USB-C 3.1 port, as well as a 3.5mm jack and the ability to connect devices via Bluetooth 5.1 Finally, the gaming handheld, which weighs 463 grams, could last more than 12 hours on a full battery.
