Logitech has introduced a new keyboard, the Logitech Ergo K860 Ergonomic Split Keyboard. It is an ergonomic, curved design, with a separate section for the left and right hands. The keyboard will probably only be released in the US for the time being.

According to Logitech, the included soft, curved wrist rest positions the user’s forearms just above the keyboard, which would increase the amount of wrist support and reduce the flexion of the wrists. This support can also be increased with adjustable feet.

According to the manufacturer, the keyboard has been tested for a lifespan of 10 million keystrokes. These are low profile keys and are not a mechanical keyboard. The device can be connected via Bluetooth low energy or the supplied USB dongle. Via software, the keyboard can also be used seamlessly on up to three devices and it takes two AA batteries.

The Logitech Ergo K860 will be available this month in the United States for $130. A Logitech spokesperson does not know whether the keyboard will also be released in Europe and the Benelux, but that seems unlikely for the time being.
