LG is reportedly introducing the LG Watch Timepiece: a combination of a mechanical watch and a smartwatch. It would be the first wearable that runs Google’s smartwatch OS right out of the box under the Wear OS name.

LG would target customers with the Watch Timepiece who “want the best of the analog and digital worlds,” writes Android Headlines, which has learned information about the product from sources. The smartwatch has a stainless steel housing that is waterproof based on the ip68 rating. The dimensions are 45.5×45.4×12.9mm.

For simply displaying time, there is a quartz movement with physical hands. In Watch Mode with Wear OS turned off, the wearable can function for hundreds of days with a 240mAh battery. In addition, there is a 1.2″ circular display with a resolution of 360×360 pixels, for displaying Wear OS, with support for Google Play Store apps.

The smartwatch would have 4GB storage, 768MB lpddr3 and Qualcomms Snapdragon 2100-soc. The LG Watch Timepiece is rumored to support WiFi-n and Bluetooth 4.2, and there would be a USB-C port. LG would like to announce the wearable on Monday.
