LG is going to make 48″ OLED TVs

LG will in the future make 48-inch OLED TVs with a 4k resolution. The smaller size comes in addition to the current sizes of 55″, 65″ and 77″. LG will also make 8k OLED TVs of 65″ and 77″, in addition to the current 88″ model.

It is not yet clear when the 48-inch OLED TVs will be released, but LG showed its arrival at a presentation at the OLED Korea Conference, where OLED information is reported. LG has so far only has 55-inch OLED TVs and released larger, but with that comes a smaller size. In January, LG introduced its OLED TVs for this year, with an 88″ model with an 8k resolution as the top model. At the conference, LG announced that there are also 77″ and 65″ OLED TVs with an 8k panel. come.

Actual products with the new panels have not yet been announced, the manufacturer may do so at the beginning of next year at the CES electronics fair. LG usually introduces new OLED TVs once a year. The arrival of the new formats coincides with an expansion of LG Display’s production facilities. With this, the South Korean manufacturer wants to be able to supply 10 million OLED TVs per year by 2021.
