LG has introduced the 27GL850G. This game monitor has a screen diagonal of 27″ and a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. It is also an IPS panel with a maximum refresh rate of 160Hz.

The LG 27GL850G has a panel that the manufacturer refers to as ‘nano-ips’. By default, the screen is set to a refresh rate of 144Hz, but that can be overclocked to 160Hz. The screen supports Nvidia’s G-Sync in a range that goes from 30 to 160Hz. The static contrast ratio is 1000:1.

Users can adjust the monitor in height, as well as tilt and swivel. The screen can also be detached from the base and mounted to the wall via a VESA-standard bracket. Not only can you find the characteristic circular lighting at the back, but also three USB 3.0 connections, supplemented with connections for displayport, HDMI and an external power supply.

LG has not yet disclosed information about brightness, color space, response time and whether HDR is supported, for example. It is also still unknown how high the price will be. LG will announce more details at the upcoming CES fair.
