Lenovo introduces Tab P12 Pro tablet with 5G and 12.6″-120Hz OLED screen

Lenovo introduces a new top model in its lineup of Android tablets. The Tab P12 Pro will have an OLED screen with a resolution of 2560×1600 pixels and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The tablet runs on a Snapdragon 870-soc and there will also be a version with 5G.

The Lenovo Tab P12 Pro’s 12.6″ AMOLED screen can automatically switch between 120Hz and 60Hz to save battery. The 16:10 screen has a maximum brightness of 600cd/m² and supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision display .

Lenovo gives the tablet a Snapdragon 870-soc, up to 8GB of LPDDR5 memory and 256GB of flash storage. There will also be a version with a 5G modem, with support for frequencies up to 6GHz. The housing has four speakers and the battery has a capacity of 10,200mAh. Fast charging goes with 45W.

The tablet itself weighs 565 grams, but Lenovo supplies the Tab P12 Pro including a cover and keyboard and the total package weighs about one kilogram. The tablet runs Android 11 and Lenovo has created its own software to make the tablet work wirelessly with a Windows 10 or 11 PC. The manufacturer calls this Project Unity and says that it is possible to extend the Windows desktop on the tablet screen, for example. It is therefore still possible to run Android apps on part of the tablet screen.

Lenovo Tab P11 Pro 5G

Lenovo also introduces the Tab P11 Pro 5G. Namely, it is very similar to last year’s Tab P11 Pro, but the new model does not have an OLED screen. The screen is an 11″ LCD with a ‘2k resolution’ and a maximum brightness of 400cd/m². The tablet will be upgraded to the Snapdragon 750G soc, with 5G support. It contains up to 8GB of ram and 256GB of flash storage. the tablet and the battery have a capacity of 7700 mAh, the weight is 520 grams and the tablet runs on Android 11.

Both tablets will be available in Europe from October, according to Lenovo. The Tab P12 Pro model with 5G is priced from 1088 euros and the Tab P11 Pro 5G costs at least 604 euros. It is not yet known which versions will appear exactly.
