Lego Nintendo Entertainment System set will be released in August for 230 euros

Lego has officially announced its kit with Nintendo Entertainment System, accessories and CRT TV. The set consists of 2646 pieces and can be combined with the Mario figure from the Adventures with Mario set for interactive functions.

The picture tube television the new Lego set has a scrolling screen so that a Mario level can scroll past. This works with a lever on the side and when players place the Mario figure from the previously announced Lego Super Mario sets on top of the TV, it reacts with sounds to what is on screen.

On Monday, photos of the Lego NES leaked; the set has now been officially announced. According to Lego, the buildable TV is about 22.5 cm high, 23.5 cm wide and 16 cm deep. The set also contains an NES console, controller and game cartridge. The Nintendo Entertainment System set will be released at the same time as the previously announced Lego Super Mario sets in early August.
