Lego will release a scale model of the International Space Station. With this kit, the company goes a bit back in time, because a miniature version of the no longer flying Space Shuttle is also included.

Lego says that the scale model consists of 864 pieces and the Space Shuttle must also be put together with bricks first. The company also supplies a foot, two astronaut figures and a separate satellite. In addition, the product contains three small cargo ships, one of which closely resembles SpaceX’s Dragon capsule. The ISS model is 31cm long, 20cm high and 49cm wide.

The Lego version of the ISS has the characteristic long solar panels, with the panels attached to the center section on both sides via two pivoting hinges. Canadarm2, a robot arm that actually has a length of seventeen meters, is also present.

The brick-built space station will be available on February 1 via the Lego website and will cost 69 euros.
