There have been rumors for months that Google will announce two cheaper Pixel smartphones on May 7, and we now know what it will probably look like for one device. Trustworthy ‘leaker’ Evan Blass tweeted a photo of what appears to be the Pixel 3a on Wednesday.

The photo on the Twitter account @evleaks shows a fairly basic device. The smartphone has no screen notch and one camera and a fingerprint sensor are visible on the white back.

A lot of other details could be deduced from a previous leak from Google itself. For example, both new devices would have 4GB of RAM on board and run on Android 9. The ‘Pixel 3a’ would have a screen diagonal of about 5.6” at 1080×2220 pixels and 440dpi. Its bigger brother, perhaps called the Pixel 3a XL, would be equipped with a screen of about 6 inches and 1080×2160 pixels with a pixel density of 400dpi.

The devices would have a Snapdragon 670 or 710 soc and a 3.5mm jack. According to previous rumors, the Pixel 3a will cost around 450 euros, nothing is known about the price of the Pixel 3a XL. The announcement of the new devices is expected on May 7, when Google holds its I/O 2019 developer event.
