Instagram confirms login problems, users receive notification of suspended account

Instagram confirms that some users may experience problems trying to log into the platform. Users are incorrectly informed that their account has been suspended or blocked. The Meta company says it is working on a solution.

Users say on Reddit receive a notification from Instagram that their account has been blocked or deleted, for no apparent reason. The outage does not seem to affect all users. According to Downdetector The outage started around 2 p.m. Monday afternoon.

The platform confirms on Twitter that ‘some users’ may have problems logging in. Instagram says it is looking at the problems and apologizes. The company does not provide an indication of when the login problems are expected to be resolved.
