ImageShack will suffer from outages in the coming days
Image service ImageShack is experiencing an outage that could last up to three days. That’s what the service says. Photos and screenshots that users have published on the service are often not viewable at the moment.
ImageShack tweeted that the service is down and that it expected to partially resolve the fault within 24 hours. It’s been more than 16 hours since that tweet. The site has since restored the homepage, but the service is still not working. A full recovery can take about three days, the service estimates. It is rare for a well-known online service to be offline for so long.
It is unknown what caused the disruption at ImageShack. Paying users in particular react disapprovingly to the length of the outage. They can’t log in and links to images don’t work. ImageShack is silent on that one tweet about the progress of the recovery.
