Images have appeared that would indicate the arrival of the HTC One E9. It is a variant of the One M9 in which the screen has been enlarged from 5 “to 5.5”. Furthermore, the housing of the smartphone is flat in contrast to the slightly convex housing of the One M9.
The images of the One E9 have appeared at the Chinese testing agency Tenaa, but the photos have since been removed. The device would contain a 5.5 “touchscreen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels. In addition, there are rumors that the E9 would contain a 2GHz octacore soc, possibly the 64bit MT6795 from MediaTek.
HTC would also have equipped the device with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of flash storage. There is also a microSD card reader, while a 20-megapixel camera can be found on the back. The device should run on Android 5.0 by default and should be available in white, metallic and brown colors. It is not yet clear when and where the device will be released.
