IKEA and Sonos collaborate on a painting with a built-in speaker. That reports The Verge based on its own sources. Sonos previously published a teaser on Instagram, in which it confirmed the arrival of a new speaker in collaboration with IKEA.

The Verge claims it saw an early image of the painting with integrated speaker. The speaker painting would be codenamed Titan. Little is known about how the product works, writes The Verge. Several IKEA and Sonos products surfaced at the US FCC in early April, including a listing of a “wireless device.”

According to The Verge, the two companies would also be working on an updated version of the Symfonisk table lamp with a built-in speaker. Recently a notification of this speaker appeared at the American FCC, writes The Verge. The medium expects that the new speaker lamp will receive approximately the same suggested retail price as the current Symfonisk, which IKEA sells for 179 euros. The smart bookshelf speaker from Sonos and IKEA, which also functions as a wall shelf, would not receive an upgrade for the time being.

Sonos and IKEA also seem to confirm the arrival of new speakers. Sonos published some teasers on Instagram earlier this week, Pocket-Lint also writes. Sonos seems to confirm to that medium that the company is working on new products with IKEA. “The partnership between Sonos and IKEA is stronger than ever and we are excited about the products we are working on together. We look forward to sharing more when the time is right,” a spokesperson told Pocket-Lint.

IKEA and Sonos released their first joint products in 2019. The two companies have not announced any new products since then. It’s not yet clear when IKEA and Sonos will announce their upgraded Symfonisk table lamp and alleged painting speaker. Sonos will release a portable Sonos Roam Bluetooth speaker later this month, which will cost 179 euros.
