HYTE releases its first mechanical keyboard, the Keeb TKL. This has a transparent plastic housing with RGB LEDs underneath, which shine through the housing. The keyboard costs 229 euros. HYTE mentions a delivery date of January 31 on its website.

The HYTE Keeb TKL has, as the name suggests, a tenkeyless design. The transparent housing consists of two parts, with a PCB plate with an aluminum bottom in between. The device has a gasket mount to hold the PCB in place. The keyboard also contains 155 RGB ‘pixels’, which provide the transparent housing with a colored glow.

HYTE provides the Keeb TKL with its own linear Fluffy Lavender switches, which can be exchanged by users via hot swap sockets. According to the manufacturer, the switches are pre-equipped with Krytox 205g0 lube, have an actuation force of 40 grams with a total key travel of 3.5 mm. The keyboard also has five media keys, which are equipped with HYTE Flappy Paddle low-profile switches. The manufacturer also provides the Keeb TKL with two magnetic ‘rollers’, which can be used, for example, to change the volume or screen brightness of a connected PC.

The Keeb TKL has a recommended retail price of 229 euros. HYTE does not mention a concrete release date in its press release. However, the manufacturer’s website states that it will be available from January 31. The keyboard was already announced last year, but that was a prototype without a concrete release date.
