HTC has probably sent out an invitation for its own event in two weeks. The invitation shows a render of a device that resembles what has been called the HTC One M9+ in the rumor circuit, a more luxurious version of the top model M9.

The site Flipped.cn has put the invitation on Weibo and Engadget, a site that is itself active in China, confirms that the invitation is really from HTC. The invitation shows a part of a device that looks like the recent HTC One M9, but there seems to be a second camera at the top of the housing, like the HTC One M8 has.

Photos of the device have appeared on Weibo. This shows that the Duo Camera on the back and a fingerprint scanner on the front, in the place where Samsung devices have the Home button with fingerprint scanner. A screen with features of the phone in the benchmark seems to indicate that the device has a screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, while the M9 has a screen with full-HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.

The processor would be a MediaTek MT6795T, an octacore processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU. Like that of the M9, the camera would have a maximum resolution of 20 megapixels. The suspected M9+ only appears to be released in China.
