Hitman studio is working on James Bond game
IO Interactive, the developer of the Hitman games, has announced a new project. It is a James Bond game, which will also be published by the company. The company has released a teaser and summary information, but a release date is still unknown.
On a special website for the new game, IO Interactive writes that it is an all-new James Bond game with a completely original story around the fictional secret agent. In the game, players take on the role of the British spy, who at that point has yet to earn his 00 status. So it is a story of the beginning of James Bond’s career.
The project is currently called Project 007, but this is a working title. When the new game will be released has not yet been announced. IO Interactive says it is currently attracting talent from all over the world to join the team that will create the new game. The game is already being actively developed and is intended for ‘modern systems and platforms’, which probably means at least the Xbox Series X, PlayStation 5 and Windows PCs.
The Danish developer, best known for the Hitman games and the Kane & Lynch games, has already released a teaser for Project 007, but there is little else to say about it, except that it is a game that is the official 007 license from film company MGM.
