HIS Releases Single Slot Versions of RX 550 Video Card

Video card manufacturer HIS comes with single-slot versions of the Radeon RX 550 video card. The thin version is available with video memory of 2GB and 4GB. Both cards have a fan that does not spin when the GPU is not in use.

The cards are equipped with an hdmi 2.0b, displayport 1.4 and dvi-d. There is one of each connection. HIS gives the GPU of the thin RX 550 cards a boost speed of 1203MHz, slightly higher than the reference speed of 1183MHz.

HIS equips the video cards with its Slim-iCooler, an eleven-blade fan. If the GPU is not used intensively, the fan will not run. The video card is powered via the PCIe slot, a power plug is not necessary. The design is similar to the single-slot versions of the RX 460 that HIS released earlier.

The Radeon RX 550 is a budget video card that has 8 compute units and 512 stream processors. That is exactly half of the RX 560 GPU. The video card has a 128-bit memory bus. According to HIS, the singleslot versions are available immediately.
