Google will release new line of Nest security cameras this year

Google is renewing its range of Nest security cameras this year, the manufacturer promises. That announcement follows the discontinuation of the Nest Cam IQ Outdoor, which is now sold out.

Google reports that “Nest continues to invest in new innovations” and that this includes a “new lineup of security cameras for 2021”. With this, the company is responding to questions from 9to5Google about the availability of the Nest Cam IQ Outdoor.

That outdoor security camera doesn’t seem to be available anywhere anymore; there are no more providers of the Nest Cam IQ Outdoor in the Pricewatch either. Google confirms that that camera is sold out and from the addition that a new product line is on the way, it can be concluded that there will be no new delivery of the IQ Outdoor.

It is not known whether the delivery of the other Nest security cameras will also come to an end, and Google does not report any further details about the upcoming line-up. The 2017 Nest IQ and IQ Outdoor were the latest additions to Nest’s existing range of security cameras.
