Google has removed the option to search for an image in Google Images from Chrome’s context menu. If you now right-click on an image, you will get an option to search for the image with Lens.

Searching for an image through Google Images is still possible through the search engine’s website, but the option is no longer available in the browser, says Ghacks. The function is still in Chrome 99, but is no longer available in test versions.

In the same place is now the option to search for an image via Lens. That’s a Google feature to get more context about an image. It is unknown why the search giant made the change. Google has not provided any explanation. There are Chrome extensions that bring the option back to the browser. Some alternative browsers also have the function on board.
