Google releases Play Store optimized for tablets

Google releases a Play Store version optimized for large screens. The new version is intended for tablets, foldable devices and Chromebooks.

Google changes the layout in that new version by, among other things, better displaying videos with gameplay or images from the app and by placing a sidebar with menu options on the left.

Games optimized for large screens will also be prioritized in the app store’s search and home screen. Finally, there will be a split-screen search function. This allows users to see search results on one side and details about the app or game on the other.
