Google has released its own podcast app for Apple’s mobile operating system: iOS. The app was released for Android about a year and a half ago and there was also a web version. Along with the release for iOS, the second version of Google Podcasts will be released.

The Google Podcasts app is available on the App Store, only works with iOS version 12.0 or later, and is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch. This is the first time that Google’s app has been released for Apple’s operating system. The updated 2.0 version of Google Podcasts is also the version that will be released for iOS, in addition to Android and the web version.

The new design assumes a home screen with new episodes of the podcasts the user has subscribed to, and introduces two new tabs: a tab called Explore, which uses an algorithm to provide personalized recommendations for podcasts that the user may not yet be familiar with. is. In addition, there will be a tab called Activity for managing the favorite podcasts. Furthermore, new episodes of podcasts to which the user is subscribed can be automatically downloaded, the topics of episodes can be searched and there is a dark mode available.

The roll-out of the updated version of Google Podcasts for Android has now started, which means that this version may take a while. The 2.0 version is already available for iOS and web users.
