Google is adding 360-degree backgrounds to Google Meet on Android and iOS
Google adds 360-degree backgrounds to video calling platform Google Meet. The virtual background of Android and iOS users moves with the device. This is done on the basis of the gyroscope of the smartphone.
The 360-degree backgrounds, including a beach and a temple, change when you rotate the smartphone left or right during a video call in Google Meet. Google says it will add more of these types of backgrounds at a later date.
The virtual backgrounds in the Google Meet app for Android and iOS are available to all Google Workspace users and users with a personal Google account, reports the company. Earlier this year, Google also added emoji reactions to Meet, which are displayed via an overlay on the user’s video window.
