Gigabyte has announced a version of the GeForce GTX 1080 that has a length of 169mm. The mini-itx version of the graphics card includes a single fan and runs reference clock speeds as required by Nvidia.

The compact Gigabyte GTX 1080 Mini ITX 8G, with type number GV-N1080IX-8GD, combines the GeForce GTX 1080 with a single 90mm fan and heatsink through which three copper heatpipes are processed. The core clock of the card is 1607MHz, with a boost to 1733MHz. Those are the speeds the card works at in Gaming Mode.

There is also an OC Mode, which can be switched on for a clock speed of 1632MHz and a Boost of 1771MHz. Power is provided via the 8-pin PCI-E connector and a 5+2-phase VRM is present. Gigabyte also places three display ports with version number 1.4 on the card and duallink dvi and hdmi 2.0 are also present.

The compact card from Gigabyte is not the first mini-itx version of the GTX 1080. Zotac also announced such a shortened variant of Nvidia’s video card. Gigabyte itself released a mini-tx model of the GTX 1070 a year ago. The price of the Gigabyte GTX 1080 Mini ITX 8G is not yet known.
