In total, Fitbit delivered 36 percent more devices than in the same period last year, the company reports. It concerns a total of 2.9 million devices, but Fitbit does not disclose the share of smartwatches and fitness trackers. It can be deduced from the figures that it probably concerns about 550,000 smartwatches and 2.35 million trackers.

Fitbit delivered more devices, but earned less on average, at $91 per device. That is 19 percent less than in the same period a year ago. That’s because the company has focused on cheaper products, such as the Versa Lite smartwatch and Inspire fitness tracker.

Fitbit’s total revenue came in at $272 million, an increase of nearly 10 percent from the same period a year earlier. Net loss was $79.5 million, compared to $80.9 million in the same period a year ago.
