Anno 1800 gets its first dlc package. It’s called Sunken Treasures and brings with it a new character, crafting, a playing field and submarine expeditions. The new map is three times the size of the largest the game has to offer right now.

Sunken Treasures becomes accessible once a player has at least 700 Artisans in their civilization. After that, Cape Trelawney was opened, which was the stage of many naval battles. The new character, Old Nate, lives on the map. The man is an eccentric who surrounds himself with his unusual inventions and machines. The player can supply Nate with scrap to use in his inventions, such as a diving bell and sonar. With those inventions, players can carry out the undersea expeditions where they can find great treasures.

According to Ubisoft, the new DLC will provide six hours of gameplay and will include over a hundred new items in total, which are also needed for crafting. The blueprints of Nate’s inventions are freely available, but the required materials are sometimes very rare, making it challenging for players to obtain them.

There are no moving images of the Anno DLC yet, which will be shown next Tuesday on a Twitch stream. There, details are also shared about all the changes and additions that will be introduced in the upcoming update 4. Both that update and the DLC will be released on July 30. A price for the DLC has not yet been announced, but Ubisoft states that it will be 24.99 euros cheaper via the season pass, which means that the price for a single purchase will in any case be higher than 8.33 euros.
