Firmware Update: US Robotics 8054 1.67b44

US Robotics has prepared a new firmware for its 802.11g Wireless Turbo Router with the type designation USR8054. Ray Portier informs us that users of this router have been having problems with unexpected reboots and resets for some time now. According to US Robotics, this problem should be solved with version 1.67b44 of the firmware as you can read in the release notes below:

Upgrading to version 1.67b44 may reset your wireless router to the factory default settings, including your password. We recommend that you write down your configuration settings prior to upgrading, reset the wireless router to defaults, and then re-configure your router after the upgrade.

US Robotics is offering this update to improve issues with frequent router resets under certain data traffic conditions.
