Firmware update: Ricoh Theta V 2.31.1

Ricoh has a few days ago for his Theta V-cameras released new firmware with 2.31.1 as version number. These digital cameras have two lenses that allow them to take spherical photos. They are two f/2.0 lenses, with each lens associated with a 12-megapixel 1/2.3″ sensor. Combined, this produces 360-degree images with a 14-megapixel resolution. The list of adjustments is as follows:

  • You can save shooting conditions set with a smartphone on the camera. Shooting conditions registered in My Settings will be enabled when you turn the camera on while not connected to a smartphone. You can only use My Settings for still images.
    *Requires the latest version of the smartphone app (iOS 2.1.0 or above, Android 1.19.0 or above).
  • It is now possible to use Developers Mode.
    *The basic app for PC needs to be updated to the newest version (Version 3.5.0 or higher).
