Firmware update: Nikon D4S 1.33

Nikon has released new firmware for its D4S-digital single-lens reflex camera. The update, which updates the C firmware, is available for macOS and Windows. The D4S is a professional digital SLR camera with an fx-format cmos image sensor with 16.2 megapixels. It can be used with a wide range of interchangeable lenses with a Nikon F mount. The list of changes looks like this:

Changes from “C” Firmware Version 1.32 to 1.33

  • Added the following support for AF-P lenses:
    • If the standby timer expires after focusing, the focus position will no longer be changed when the timer is reactivated.
    • When focus is adjusted by rotating the lens focus ring, the focus indicator in the viewfinder (and in live view, the focus point in the monitor) will now blink to indicate when infinity or the shortest focus position has been reached.
  • Added support for AF-P DX lenses.
