Tarkus a link to the . appeared in the newsgroups of MSI 2.6B7 beta BIOS update for the K7T Turbo against. It is unclear whether this update will solve the problems with the VIA 686B southbridge, but it does speed up the initialization procedure of the IDE drives and the connected IDE devices are now correctly displayed by the BIOS:
you can go to this link to download a 2.6B7 release from the bios. I installed in on my board and it has resolved the 10-second boot-up delay that occurred when the IDE drives were being initialized. The BIOS also shows the attached IDE devices correctly now.
I didn’t see any new BIOS options, however, so I don’t think this is for the overclockers out there. It’s not clear if the 686B bug-fix is included in this release, but, then again, my SBLive is running just fine (my hard drives are on a Promise Ultra100 PCI card and not connected to the mobo).
