Firmware update: DVico TViX HD M-6600A/N | PVR M-6620N/M-6640N 1.9.6 B7

DVico has for its TViX HD M-6600A, HD M-6600N, PVR M-6620N and PVR M-6640N media players released new beta firmware with 1.9.6 B7 as the version number. These devices are equipped with a Realtek RTD1283 media processor and can handle the most common video and audio formats. The PVR models also have a double tuner that allows you to record two broadcasts at the same time. The list of changes for this release is as follows:

Multimedia Player/ System:

Supports MP3 album art

Supports image contained at MP3 ID3 tag
If an image exists on the folder where MP3 file resides, it will show as a album art.

Enhances Device Selection Popup window. (This dialog will pop-up when you press “GOTO” button on file browser)

You can select variable USB devices, not as a fixed form.
At device selection dialog-box, you can select device category by “left” and “right” button, you can select partition or USB devices by “up” and “down” button
Up to 6 USB devices can be selectable.

Supports TERRET USB device

Up to 6 USB devices can be detected. (It was 2 devices before)
You can use USB2.0 to eSATA cable when you’re using eSATA terret.

Supports Swedish and Greek language at setup.

Fixes cyclic rebooting problem after power off.

Fixes reverse ordered ID3 tag information problem.

Fixes MKV internal subtitle abnormal tinting problem

Fixes the aspect ratio update problem of setup.

PVR PART:

Supports recorded stream cut-editing function for transport stream

This function can be run at background ( You can still use DTV or file playback while editing function running)
Only supports .tp / .ts / .m2ts file extension

Fixes cyclic scheduled recording problem. (Sometimes, it’s missing)

Fixes Czech’s ETT information problem

Network/UPnP:

Supports Wi-Fi 11n USB dongle based on Ralink RT3070 chipset. (We only supports WPA setting at this time).

Known Issues:

Dual recording will stop on ATSC if recording time is more than 2 hours each. (DVB-T is OK)
The weather IMS is disabled since Yahoo blocked out the weather information for embedded device except PC.
The PPS, ThunderVOD, GouGou (IMS) in China is not supported yet properly
If you have problem to get the IP address of wireless AP, please use WEP 64bit mode or WPA mode.
