Firmware Update: Draytek Vigor 2926 3.8.9.2

Draytek has for his 2926routers released new firmware. These broadband routers have two Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports and four Gigabit Ethernet LAN ports. In addition, the router can set up fifty VPN tunnels and, depending on the model, one or two USB ports are available to connect a printer, for example. Furthermore, there is the choice to take the Vigor 2926 without wireless capabilities, with 802.11n in the form of the Vigor 2926n, with 802.11ac in the form of the Vigor 2926ac or 2926Vac, or with an already built-in LTE modem in the form of the Vigor 2926L, 2926Ln or 2926Lac. The version number has landed at 3.8.9.2 and here are the changes:

Improvement

  • Improved: Enhanced the security on the web server.
  • Corrected: Firewall did not work on routed LAN.
  • Corrected: Unable to keep network connection via built-in LTE modem.
  • Corrected: Available wireless LAN 5G channels for some countries were not correct.
  • Corrected: NAT loopback did not work when port setting was configured with a number from 768 to 1023.
  • Corrected: The word, DMZ, disappeared on the Dashboard after enabling the DMZ port (LAN>>General Setup) and refreshing the web page of Dashboard.
  • Corrected: The wireless device was able to connect to WLAN (2.4G). After disconnecting WLAN (2.4G), the device was unable to reconnect to WLAN (5G) and received error message of wrong security key.
  • Corrected: Unable to reboot Vigor router for the built-in LTE modem was in the reset state.
