Firmware Update: Canon EOS 7D 2.0.5
Canon recently released new firmware for the EOS 7D DSLR with version number 2.0.5, as a successor to version 2.0.3. The update is 18MB in size and downloads are available for Windows and OS X. Version 2.0.5 should fix a file transfer problem when using the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E5.
Firmware version 2.0.5 includes the following fix.
- Fixes an issue where the image files cannot be transferred via USB cable using the FTP protocol after the EOS 7D camera establishes a wireless connection with the Wireless File Transmitter WFT-E5 (A/B/C/D ).
*: Complies with electromagnetic wave legislation in each region. There are four types of WFT-E5 (type A, B, C and D) for each of the target regions concerned.
