Firmware Update: BenQ DW1620 B7V9

BenQ has released a new firmware for its DW1620 and DW1620 Pro DVD burners. The update that has been given version number B7U9 can here are downloaded and comes in the form of a handy Windows installer. Among other things, this release improves compatibility between the DVD burner and motherboards equipped with an nForce chipset. The full changelog looks like this:

Release Reasons:

• Improved the compatibility with nForce chipset.
• Fixed “no data found” issue of a CD-R disc which burnt by Nero and Simulation mode is selected.
• Added support for MJC 16x DVD+R, Giga 16x DVD-R & Ritek 16x DVD-R F1 media.
