Firmware Update: Asus RT-AC88U 3.0.0.4.380.2345

Asus has released new firmware for the RT-AC88U. This dual-band router has a hefty price, but you get a lot in return. For example, there are not the usual four, but eight gigabit LAN connections, whereby the first two ports can also be combined for Link Aggregation. The four antennas can transmit and receive simultaneously and deliver a combined throughput of 3,167Gbit/s. There are also two USB ports, one of which is USB 3.0, so that a printer or external storage can be shared over the network. The new firmware is just under 43MB in size and afterwards it is advisable to hold down the reset button for five seconds. The release notes mention the following changes and improvements:
