Firmware Update: ASUS RT-AC66U 3.0.0.4.380.4005

Asus recently released new firmware for the RT-AC66U. This router can provide clients with network access both wired and wireless. Wireless is supported up to and including the 802.11ac standard, with speeds up to 1.3Gbit/s. There are also two USB ports, so that a printer or external storage can be shared over the network. The following improvements have been made in this release:

Security Fixed

• Fixed a security vulnerability regarding XSS.
• Fixed a security vulnerability regarding CSR

Bug Fixed

• Fixed WAN detection related issues or quick internet setup wizard.
• Fixed UI redirection related issues.
• Fixed IE compatibility or quick internet setup wizard.

Modifications

• Added the auto notification function on ASUSWRT user interface. If beta firmware or final firmware is released, users can also obtain and install the beta firmware directly.
• Updated translation strings
• Modified WAN detection process.
