Download Firmware Asus P5K-E 1012

Asus has released a new bios for its P5K-E motherboard. The bios has arrived at version 1012 and can continue here click to download as a zip file. In version 1012 two bug fixes and improved support for atapi drives. Support has also been added for new processors, but the overview page with which CPUs the motherboard supports, does not indicate which processors from version 1012 can be used. The full changelog of the new bios for the P5K-E looks like this:

• Support new CPUs.
• Fix when using Conroe 3.0GHz CPU with FSB1333, the system cannot resume from S3.
• Improve ATAPI CD-ROM’s compatibility with EZ-Flash.
• Fix the system is unable to enter S3 in Windows XP 64-bit OS.
