Firmware update: Asus A8N-SLI Deluxe 1013

Asus released a new BIOS a few days ago for its A8N-SLI Deluxe, a very complete motherboard built around an nForce4 chipset and suitable for the AMD Socket 939 Athlon. The BIOS has been given version 1013 and in addition to recognizing two different revisions of the Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 3800+ processor, it also has various bug fixes on board. Asus recommends installing the latest chipset drivers before flashing the new BIOS. The changelog for this release looks like this:

  • Support new CPUs:
    • Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ revE4 (Socket939)
    • Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 3800+ revE6 (Socket939)
  • Update nVidia onboard Lan PXE ROM to V215.0503
  • Fixed system will hang in memory test 2.09GB if Quick Boot disabled.
  • Change class code of SATA to fit new Driver (WHQL) if RAID is enabled.
  • Fixed system cannot detect ARC 12xx Serial ATA RAID Host adapter.
  • Fixed K8 Vcore will set wrong value under AI-Booster.
